AAAI Code of Conduct for Events and Conferences
All persons, organizations and entities that attend AAAI conferences and events are subject to the standards of conduct set forth on the AAAI Code of Conduct for Events and Conferences.
The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence is pleased to present the 2022 Fall Symposium Series, to be held at the Westin Arlington Gateway in Arlington, Virginia, November 17-19.
Symposia generally range from 40–75 participants each. Participation will be open to active participants as well as other interested individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant will be expected to attend a single symposium.
The program will include the following eight symposia:
- FS-22-01 Artificial Intelligence for Human-Robot Interaction (AI-HRI)
- FS-22-02 Artificial Intelligence for Predictive Maintenance
- FS-22-03 Distributed Teaching Collaboratives for AI and Robotics
- FS-22-04 Knowledge-Guided Machine Learning
- FS-22-05 Lessons Learned for Autonomous Assessment of Machine Abilities (LLAAMA)
- FS-22-07 The Role of AI in Responding to Climate Challenges
- FS-22-08 Thinking Fast and Slow and Other Cognitive Theories in AI

Registration and General Information
ALL ATTENDEES MUST PREREGISTER. All accepted authors, invited speakers, symposium participants, and other invited attendees must register by September 23, 2022. Participation will be open to active participants as well as interested individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. All registrations should be completed by October 17, 2022.

Payment Information
To register online, please complete the form at (https://aaaiconf.cventevents.com/FSS-22). If you qualify for student rates, you will be required to submit proof of student status (PDF) through the online system before you can complete your registration.
Refund Requests
The deadline for refund requests is October 26, 2022. All refund requests must be made in writing to fss@aaai.org. A $100.00 processing fee will be levied on all refunds granted.

Hotel Information
For your convenience, AAAI has reserved a block of rooms at the Westin Arlington Gateway. The Westin Arlington Gateway is located in the Ballston area of Arlington. It is a short walk from the Ballston Metro Station, which allows guests to easily explore Arlington, downtown Washington, DC, Alexandria, or Georgetown. Reagan National Airport is easily accessible via the Washington Metro rapid transit.
The conference room rate per night is $205.00 (King/Double).
Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes (approximately 13.25%), or hotel fees in effect at the time of the meeting. Symposium attendees must contact the Westin Arlington Gateway directly. Please request the group rate for the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) when reserving your room. The cut-off date for reservations is October 17, 2022 at 5:00 PM ET, local time at the hotel. Reservations after this date will be accepted based on availability at the hotel's prevailing rate. All reservations must be secured by one night's deposit per room, via credit card. Reservations may be cancelled with no penalty up to 5:00 pm, 72 hours prior to the date of arrival. After that time, a penalty of one night's room and tax will be incurred. Upon check-in, date of departure must be confirmed. Early departure will result in a fee equal to one night's guest room rate.

Metro service is available from Reagan National Airport to The Westin Arlington Gateway. From the airport, board the blue line towards Largo. Exit after 5 stops to Rosslyn and transfer to the Orange line towards Vienna. Exit at Ballston Metro Station. The hotel is approximately 3 blocks from the station.
